PoE 3.30 preparation starts with finishing time-limited league goals, checking a starter's minimum equipment needs, and keeping the first Atlas plan inexpensive until the expansion reveal. Treat POE currency as a limited upgrade budget, not a reason to commit early to uncertain equipment. The scheduled release date is November 13, 2026, but that date alone does not establish an exact launch hour.
Finish Existing Goals Before the League Deadline
Curse of the Allflame ends on November 9, 2026, at 1 PM PST, which is 4 PM EST and 9 PM UTC. Complete remaining challenge objectives before that cutoff rather than treating the expansion release date as extra completion time.
Open your current character's challenge list and identify the next reward you actually want. Separate its remaining objectives into tasks you can complete now, tasks requiring an equipment change, and tasks requiring lengthy repetition.
Complete immediately achievable objectives first.
Keep required encounter materials together before starting a difficult objective.
Read the completion condition before entering the encounter.
Buy an upgrade only when it addresses a specific unfinished objective.
Set a personal cutoff earlier than the league deadline and preserve the remaining time for failed attempts.
Check the challenge list after each attempt to confirm the relevant objective is recorded as complete. Defeating an encounter is not enough if its challenge requires an additional condition. Stop optional completion when it starts consuming the time reserved for launch preparation.
Choose a Starter That Works Before Its Expensive Upgrades
A practical starter needs an affordable functional setup, not just an impressive final equipment list. Keep two candidates with different dependencies so one uncertain item interaction does not invalidate both choices.
The full expansion reveal is planned for ExileCon 2026. Until the details are available, treat skill rankings, returning systems, and new equipment interactions as unresolved rather than confirmed advantages.
Starter Direction First Goal Dependency to Check
Broad-area mapper Reliable map completion Damage against isolated durable enemies
Single-target setup Boss progression Cost of encounter access
Persistent damage Damage while repositioning Application speed and recovery
Minions, traps, mines, or totems Indirect combat Deployment and resource demands
For each candidate, record the early main skill, necessary supports, equipment requirements, and acceptable substitutes. Separate mandatory items from optional damage upgrades. Reject a plan that cannot function without an uncertain essential item.
Check resource costs, reservation, recovery, and movement before adding more damage. Attack setups need a weapon upgrade path; spell setups need workable casting costs. Minion setups also need a practical way to replace lost minions.
Confirm the League and Preserve a Working Setup
A fresh challenge league does not inherit your permanent-league equipment budget. Existing characters and items remain in their corresponding permanent environments, so plan the new character around fresh acquisition.
Use Character Selection > Create Character, then inspect the league and mode selections before confirming. Check the actual available options rather than assuming every historical variation is offered. The selected league and mode should match your intended start before you proceed.
Equip an accessible first setup rather than waiting for ideal modifiers.
Check item and gem requirements before replacing a piece.
Inspect the main skill, compatible supports, available resources, and defenses after the change.
Confirm the skill remains usable in combat.
Keep the previous item until the replacement works.
A stronger-looking item can reduce damage by removing a required modifier or breaking a support condition. Change one component at a time when diagnosing a problem. Restore functionality first, repair repeated deaths next, then improve movement, recovery, and damage.
Keep the First Atlas Route Cheap and Adjustable
Start Atlas progression with repeatable map completion rather than a costly farming combination from an earlier version. The Atlas shapes endgame mapping choices, so an unsuitable early plan can consume resources without improving progression.
Choose one primary activity and at most one complementary activity. Check the revealed Atlas passive effects and Scarab restrictions before spending around their interactions. Scarabs are investment components whose costs belong in the calculation for each batch.
Run a small batch with minimal extra investment and record preparation time, entry costs, deaths, and incomplete encounters. Separate currency already available from rewards still waiting for a buyer. Add one investment component at a time, keeping it only when the extra returns justify its cost and added work.
Open your challenge list now and select the next achievable reward objective. After the reveal, check both starter candidates and set an early upgrade allowance in POE chaos orbs, keeping enough reserve to repair a failed equipment change. Before launch, confirm the start hour and update the client and item filter. |
