In Monopoly Go's Trick or Treat board raids, finding the Ghost ends your current visit, but you keep the Treats you've already collected. That makes the Ghost a limit on further rewards, not a penalty that removes earlier gains. For your wider album plans, browsing Monopoly Go Stickers is an optional shopping step, while raid rewards depend on the event's own mechanics.

The supplied event schedule places Trick or Treat between September 23, 2026 and November 25 at 16:59 UTC, alongside the Monster Mash season. Check the event countdown and reward details in your game before committing dice, since live event settings can change. The useful distinction is between what a visit has already earned and what an unfinished visit might still award.

1 What happens to your Treats when the Ghost appears

The Ghost immediately stops the visit without taking back Treats earned earlier in that attempt. You lose the opportunity to continue through that board, not the rewards you've already secured. A shorter visit can therefore still contribute something to your event progress.

This changes how you should judge an interrupted raid. Reaching fewer houses doesn't make the entire attempt a loss, and an early ending doesn't mean you need to spend more dice to replace everything you collected. Judge the result by the Treats retained, rather than by how many houses remained.

◆ Treats collected before the Ghost appears remain yours.

◆ There is no confirmed Ghost appearance rate or confirmed method for avoiding it.

The second point limits any strategy based on predicting house outcomes. A house order that worked during one visit isn't evidence that the same order protects your next attempt. Without established probabilities, you can't reliably calculate an ideal route or promise a particular number of successful houses.

2 Does choosing a different friend reduce Ghost risk

Changing friends gives you another available board to visit, but there's no confirmed evidence that it lowers Ghost risk. Before selecting a house, you can switch between eligible friends. Once you choose that first house, the attempt stays with that friend.

Each board offers five houses, and choosing a house triggers a dice comparison between you and the board owner. The higher roll receives the Treat reward; matching rolls reward both players. Those reward rules explain the contest, but they don't establish a way to predict the hidden Ghost.

Friend selection is therefore an availability decision, not a proven protective measure. A friend who can't receive a visit because of a limit or a full Treat bag can be replaced before you commit. Use that flexibility to find an eligible target, rather than treating a particular friend as a safer choice.

3 Are higher multipliers worth the extra dice

Higher dice multipliers can increase rewards from successful actions, but they also consume your dice faster. They don't come with any confirmed protection against the Ghost. Increasing your multiplier changes the resource trade-off, not the established rule that an encounter ends the visit.

Board raids can appear through ordinary play, including Railroad encounters and Chance cards, so you don't need to pursue them as a separate mode. That makes them useful alongside tournament or main-event rolls you already intended to make. Spending extra dice solely to trigger another visit adds cost without guaranteeing how long that visit will last.

◆ A larger possible reward doesn't establish a lower chance of an interrupted visit.

◆ A moderate multiplier leaves more dice available for other events with fixed deadlines.

Your current objective should decide the multiplier. When you're rolling toward a specific event reward, consider the raid an additional opportunity attached to that spending. When the only goal is to make up for a Ghost ending, pause before raising the multiplier: the retained Treats mean you haven't lost your entire return.

4 What should you do after a Ghost ends your visit

Return to your existing event plan and check your incoming gifts before spending dice to chase another raid. Friends can send Treat gifts that arrive while you're offline, and the gift inbox and visit history let you check those incoming rewards. An active friend list supports this income without requiring every reward to come from your own visits.

Review your Monster Mash gaps alongside the rewards available in the game. Trick or Treat can support album progress, but it doesn't guarantee the exact missing sticker you need. Keep your next dice decision tied to an identifiable reward or deadline, rather than to the frustration of an interrupted visit.

For a broader Halloween spending plan, compare your remaining dice with the events you intend to pursue. You can also explore paid options for the monopoly go racers event while keeping any optional spending within your chosen budget.
